Bennington Schools’ Food Service Program

Beginning Monday, March 23rd , Bennington Schools will be serving free breakfast and lunch to ALL children ages 0-18, including high schools seniors who over age 18. Bennington Schools will be offering both breakfast and lunch “grab and go” meals from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday-Thursday, so children will receive two separate sacks of food at the same time each day. These meals will be provided by school employees as “drive-thru” meals in front of the Chitwood Center (our school cafeteria). Families/Students are not allowed to enter any of the school buildings, so please stay inside your vehicle when picking up meals. We will not be allowing “walk-ups.” Families receiving meals must be in a vehicle. Children do not have to be enrolled in Bennington Schools to receive these free meals, so we encourage everyone to take advantage of the free meals being offered. We ask that families help us begin to prepare how many people we can expect to begin serving on March 23rd by sending us a Facebook message with how many meals you will need each day. Please share this information with anyone interested, and please help us get started with our estimated meal numbers! As with all things related to this COVID-19 pandemic, school services may change at any time based on guidelines or mandates Bennington Schools receives. Please follow our Facebook page, and please view our school website often!

Thank you!

Pam Reynolds, Superintendent
